The editor of Log book will retire this coming August and, unless a new one comes forward, the society will close.
With this in mind, we are not taking in any new members.

Idemitsu Maru, a tanker, owned by the ldemitsu Tanker K.K., of Tokyo. Gross tonnage 107,321; net 75,091 summer deadweight 206,106 tons. Built by Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries at Yokohama. Length overall 1,129ft. 6in. (including bulbous bow); extreme breadth 163ft. 6in.; minimum draft 58ft. 01/4in.; maximum draft 76ft. 2in. She has 16 tanks. Two steam turbines, double reduction geared to screw shaft; 33,000 shaft horse power. Speed 16'/4 knots. NC
