Tonnage mark ship:Gt7869/11405 net 4366/6778 tons. Dwt 12,099/15,460 tons. Built by Swan Hunter Ltd., at Redhead Shipyard, South Shields. L161.68m B22.59m D8383/9621m Depth 13.11m. Motorship carrying general cargo. Five holds and five hatches. Two decks with a third deck in No 3 hold.
Owned by the Bank Line Ltd., (Andrew Weir & Co. of London) Doxfore and Sunderland Ltd. Two diesels single acting six cylinder type 760 x 2180 developing 11,190 kw 15,000 brake horsepower. Speed 18.75 knots. Her stern is rather unusual being almost at a right angle to the ships sides. (E Argyle) SG420
