Imias
The Imias, built in 1966 by Cia. Euskalduna, at Bilbao, for the Republic of Cuba, and registered at Havana. She is a motorship, machinery aft, of the open/closed shelter deck type. Gross tonnages 7,000/9,390 tons; net 3,693/5,238; and deadweight 13,000, on dimensions, length overall 514 ft. 7 in., breadth 64 ft. 9 in., draft 26 ft. 3 in/29 ft.11/4 in., depth 38 ft 6 in. She has one deck and shelter deck and is powered by a Sulzer oil engine of 9,600 b.h.p. built by the Soc. Espanola de Const. Nay, at Bilbao. SG2319

After delivery managed by the Cuba Government Company Mambisa.
05 November 1981 sustained severe fire damage to her superstructure while at Nuevitas, Cuba.
Subsequently decleared a constructive total loss. Was towed to Bahia Honda in May 1982 to be scrapped.
