Tanker built 1959 Howaldtswerke, Kiel for Shell Tankers UK. 12321 Gt. L560'. B69'5". Dr38'8'. 2 steam turbines. 7500shp. 15kn - Netherland Antilles SG462 (LB 1/105. 12/12. EWA Vol 7. p56. SB Nov 1965)

The tanker depicts on the stamp of the Netherlands Antilles issued in 1965 is identified as the tanker ASPRELLA.
Built under yard no 1077 by the Kieler Howaldtswerke, Kiel, Germany for the Tanker Finance Ltd., London.
December 1958 keel laid down.
24 March 1959 launched as the ASPRELLA.
Tonnage 12,321 grt, 7,223 net, 18,235 dwt., dim. 170.7 x 21.2m, between pp 161.9m.
Powered by two steam turbines manufactured by Howaldt Hamburg, 7,500hp, speed 15.5 knots.
August 1959 completed.
After delivery, she was chartered by Shell Tankers (UK) Ltd, London.
1981 Sold to Shell Tankers (UK) Ltd., Great Britain, not renamed.
1982 Broken up by R Hussain, Karachi, where the ASPRELLA arrived on 29 January 1982.
