Used in Pemba, Porto Amélia area in Mozambique for transport produce. Carvel-planked; sharp bow; slightly raked stem; wide transom, vertical above, raked below; full-bodied amidships; outboard rudder.
Decked at bow and stern. Large quadrilateral lateen type sail with a short luff set to a slightly forward-raking mast; luff boomed out over the bow.
Crew of 2-3.
Reported lengths 10 – 12 meter.
