Launched under the name PIERRE PLEVIN.

1966 completed.

1980 Sold to S.A. de Péche Maritime Ravitaillement (SAPMER) and renamed AUSTRAL (II), registered at Reunion Island.
With a crew of 48 she was then fishing for lobster in the season around the s Saint Paul and Amsterdam Islands, outside the season she was fishing for toothfish.
According a Greenpeace web-site she was sold in 2002, not an owner given, and renamed KABOU, with IMO No is 6614700 the same IMO No. as AUSTRAL, but a photo published by some web-sites depict a different vessel as given on the stamp

The AUSTRAL had her accommodation block much more astern as seen on the photo, it must be a complete different vessel of she underwent major alternations, and there is something fishy going on with this trawler.

Many web-sites mention her under the name KABOU, with owners unknown, and used in Northern Norwegian waters illegal fishing.
2008 Some web-sites dealing with illegal fishing, give her under the same name and IMO No under the flag of Togo.

21 September 2011 deleted from Lloyds Registry - existence in doubt.

French Southern and Antarctic Territories 1983 2f30 sg175, scott103.
