Built as a cargo vessel under yard no 1011 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industry, Kobe, Japan for China Merchant Steam Navigation Co. Keelung, Taiwan.
1969 Launched under the name HAI KING.
Tonnage 11.026 gross, 6.164 net, 12.729 dwt., dim. 526.11 x 75.7 x 30.10 ft. (draught).
One MAN diesel engine 13.800 bhp., speed 20 knots, single screw.
November 1969 delivered to owners.

1973 Sold to Yangming Marine Transport Corp., Taiwan, renamed YANG MING.
1977 Renamed by owners in MING YOUNG.
1979 Converted in a container ship, and lengthened. Tonnage increased to 14.253 gross, 14.624 dwt., dim. 187.0m., length bpp. 176.4m.
May 1983 laid up at Kaohsiung
Sept. 1985 was reported, has since been scrapped at Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The $7 stamp depicts a liner, and is not identified.
