22 September 1930 keel laid down.
20 December 1930 launched as ZUIHO MARU.
Tonnage 183.5 grt., dim.
Powered by 360hp diesel engine.
Crew 24 men.
31 January 1931 completed.

Used for patrol and fishery research in the Pacific, what she was doing during the war-time I could not find, but she survived the war.
1961 Used in the Palau waters for fish research.
