WILLIAM FAWCETT paddle steamer

Built in 1828 as a wooden paddle steamer by Caleb and James Smith at Liverpool for Joseph Robinson Pim and William Fawcett at Dublin.
05 March 1828 launched under the name WILLIAM FAWCETT, named after one of the owners.
Tonnage 206 gross, dim. 145.8 x 22.2 x 14.9ft.
Powered by a 140hp steam engine, manufactured by Fawcett and Preston at Liverpool.

1831 Purchased by Richard Bourne and others at Dublin, and traded for the Dublin and London Steam Packet Co.
1835 Following an association with Willcox and Anderson, entered the London-Spain/Portugal trade of the Peninsular Steam Navigation Co.
1836 Resumed service on the Dublin to London route.
1837 Returned to Peninsular Steam Navigation Co. service.
1838 Extensively refitted and registered in London.
17 April 1845, her certificate was cancelled and the vessel was broken up.
