AL MUBARAKIAH

Built as a cargo vessel under yard No 207 by the Govan Shipbuilders Ltd., Govan, Glasgow Scotland for the United Arab Shipping Co.
20 February 1974 launched under the name AL MUBARAKIAH.
Tonnage 15.920 grt, 9.377 net, 23.841 dwt., dim. 175.32 x 23.42 x 10.42m. (draught), length bpp. 167.7m.
Powered by one B&W diesel engine 12.500 shp., speed 16 knots, one screw.
Five holds, and strengthened to carry iron ore.
Could carry 434 TEU’s.
July 1974 completed, home port Kuwait.

She was at that time the oldest ship in the fleet of the United Arab Shipping Co.
1986 Renamed in RICKMERS TIANJIN.
1988 Sold to Panantas Shipping Inc., Kuwait, renamed TRIDENT AMBER.
1990 Sold again back to United Arab Shipping Co, Kuwait, renamed AL MUBARAKIAH.
Sold to Indian shipbreakers and she arrived at Alang on 25 July 2000.
