KRAKA ferry

Built as a ro-ro cargo vessel under yard No 402 by Frederikshavn Værft A/S, Frederikshavn, Denmark for Per Henriksen (Mercandia Rederiet) Copenhagen, Denmark.
06 August 1982 launched as the MERCANDIAN GOVERNOR, eight sisters.
Tonnage 3.031 grt., 1.714 net, 7.230 dwt., dim.131.71 x 19.41 x 11.61m.
Powered by one 12-cyl MAK 12M453Ak diesel engine, 3.600 kW, speed 15 knots.
Accommodation for 12 passengers.
26 November 1982 completed.

After completing used in different charters.
1984 Renamed in GOVERNOR.
1985 Renamed in MERCANDIAN GOVERNOR.
From 22 May 1986 till 21 July 1986 chartered by the North Sea Ferries B.V., Rozenburg, Netherlands for the service between Rotterdam and Hull.

1988 Converted to a ro-ro ferry, tonnage given as 4.290 grt., 2.444 net, 2.250 dwt.
Accommodation for 540 passengers, and can carry 111 cars and 414 trailers.
Received 3 Caterpillar generators of 2000 hp, geared to two Azimuth-propellers for better manoeuvrability in ports.
30 March 1988 renamed in KRAKA.
08 August 1988 used in the service between Halsskov and Knudshoved across the Great Belt.
01 January 1997 Charter transferred to the Scandlines A/S.
June 1997 sold to the Scandlines A/S., Copenhagen.
14 June 1998 last sailing in this service.
15 June 1998 laid up.
1998 Used in the service between Århus to Kalundborg, as relieve for the URD who has a replacement of engines.
Later that year again laid up.
June 1999 sold to James Fisher of Liverpool (Global Marine Systems), London.
02 July 1999 towed from Nakskov, Denmark to the River Tyne, England for conversion in a cable layer.
She was lengthened, tonnage given as 10.076 grt, 3.023 net, 5.012 dwt., dim. 141.5 x 19.39 x 6.25m.
Fitted with three cable tanks and two stern sheaves for stern cable laying.
January 2000 Renamed WAVE VENTURE.

2009 as given by http://www.equasis.org owned by Global Cable II, Norway, managed by Global Marine Systems Ltd., Chelmsford U.K., same name, IMO No 8027810, under British flag.

01 February 2017 sold to Limin Marine&Offshore, Jakarta, Indonesia and renamed in LEMIN VENTURE. Under Indonesia flag and registry.
