LANDING CRAFT (TANK) LCT 858

The LCT 858 was built as a Mark 4 type by Sir William Arrol, Alloa, Scotland
Altogether 731 of the Mark 4 type were built on 14 U.K. shipyards between 1941/1943.
Displacement 586 ton. Could carry 350 tons. Dim. 187.3 x 38.9 x 4ft (draught)
Powered by two Davey Paxman engines, 920 bhp., twin shafts, speed 10 knots.
Range by a speed of 8 knots, 1.100 miles.
Armament 2 – 20mm Oerlikon AA
Crew 12, including two officers
Capacity 6 x 40 or 9 x 30 ton tanks or 12 x 3 tons trucks.
30 June 1943 commissioned.

Sold 1947
Till so far fate not found.
