Built by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd at Ulsan, South Korea, for United Arab Shipping Co.
Al Mirqab was yard number 216 and was commissioned in October 1983.
Her dwt is 35,615 and her draught is 11.27m and depth 18.6m.
Her home port is Kuwait.
Log Book Nov 1986.

Built as a containership under yard No 216 by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., Ulsan, South Korea for the United Arab Shipping Co.
Launched as the AL MIRQAB.
Tonnage 32,534 grt,21,257 nt, 35,615 dwt, dim. 211.5 x 32.3 x 18.60m, length bpp. 198.7m, draught 11.27m.
Powered by B&W-Hyundai diesel engine, 18,400 shp., speed 19.5 knots.
Container capacity 1,846 TEU’s.
Crew 41.
October 1983 delivered, homeport Kuwait.

30 June 1987 came under a missile attack from an Iran rocket vessel at a position of 28 00N 49 28E on a voyage from Mina Quaboos to Kobe she got on fire which was quickly extinguished, she sustained light damage.

2012 Sold to breakers in Alang, India, renamed in MIRQAB and under this name she made her last voyage to Alang where she arrived on 29 April 2012, she was beached on 05 May 2012 and broken up by Paras Steel Corporation.
