In the margin of the M.S of Gambia issued in 2001 you can find the A Class submarine No A1 (also on a stamp in the MS) and the battleship HMS "KING EDWARD VII".

Built by the Devonport Dockyard for the Royal Navy.
08 March 1902, laid down.
23 July 1903, launched under the name "KING EDWARD VII", H.M. King Edward VII christened her and he directed that she should always be used as a Flagship.
Displacement 16.350 ts, dim. 425 x 78 x 25.6ft.
Powered by triple expansion steam engines 18.000 ihp., speed 18 knots, two screws.
Armament 4 - 12 inch, 4 - 9.2 inch, 10 - 6 inch, 12 - 12 pdrs. and 5 - 18 inch torpedo tubes, four submerged on the beam and one submerged at the stern.
Crew 777.
07 February 1905 completed.

1 Nov. 1905, she entered the "KING EDWARD VII" dock at Gibraltar, the first battleship to enter one of the new graving docks there.
Nov. 1906, flagship of the Atlantic Fleet until Feb. 1907.
1907-09 Flagship of the Channel Fleet. 1909-11 Flagship of the Second Division of the Home Fleet. 1911-12 Flagship of the Third and Fourth Division of the Home Fleet. May 1912 Flagship of the Third Battle Squadron in the Mediterranean. She joined the Grand Fleet at Scapa Flow, as flagship of Vice Admiral E.E.Bradford.
1914 At Devonport, where two of her 12 inch guns were exchanged.

Under command of Capt. C. Maclachlan off Cape Wrath (this time not as flagship) on a voyage from Scapa Flow to Belfast for a refit, she struck a mine on 16 Jan. 1916. At first it was believed that a submarine had caused the damage, as the seas areas where she was sailing were regarded free of mines. Later it was discovered that the German raider "MÖWE" had laid a new minefield across the Western entrance of the Pentland Firth. The battleship was towed for nine hours, but by the end of that time it was evident that she could no longer face the seas. Both engine rooms were flooded. The crew were transferred to the escort destroyers before the battleship capsized and sank.
