SS COMAYAGUA stamp

Post by historynw » Wed Oct 09, 2013 6:26 pm

Greetings, I came across your site while completing research on the Comayagua which was built at the old Newburgh Shipyards in my town. I saw the stamp and I wondered if there was a full size copy of it to be had. I would like to include it in my article and presentation talk. With all the local pictures found the fruit boats apparently were overlooked. I was especially happy to see you had information not only on the sinking but the Armed guard too. My town was named after the SS New Windsor later Alcoa Mariner also sunk . Many years go I was able to recover the bell for the town.

Thanks
