Cornwallis

In january 1875 the Cornwallis visited Pitcairn.
The Captain came ashore with his apprentices, leaving the vessel in the command of the first officer.
Shortly afterwards the Cornwallis was seen drifting towards the shore, where she eventually broke up.
No lives were lost but the ship was a total wreck.
Pitcairn Is SG451.
