UKRAINA passenger ship 1938

From Mr. Carlo I got an e-mail that he believes the UKRAINA is depict on the stamp issued by Russia in 1982, which shows us the lighthouse of Verontsov at Odessa, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorontsov_Lighthouse with in the background a passenger ship.
Comparing the stamp with photo’s I agree, she is the only passenger ship in the Russian fleet with this long deckhouse before the bridge.

Built as a passenger ship under yard No 634 by Burmeister & Wain, Copenhagen for the Romanian State Maritime Service.
28 April 1938 launched as the BASARABIA, one sister the TRANSILVANIA.
Tonnage 6,672, 3,034 net, 1.675 dwt., dim. 131.9 x 17.6 x 5.7m. (draught)
Powered by two 12-cyl B&W diesel engines, 14.400 shp, twin shafts, speed 22, service speed 18 knots.
Accommodation for 640 passengers.
September 1938 delivered to owners with homeport Constanta.

After delivery together with her sister in the service between Constanta to Alexandria, Egypt. With during the summer occasionally cruises in the Mediterranean and Black Sea.
During World War II laid up in Istanbul, Turkey.
1948 As war reparation she was transferred to the Soviet Union and renamed UKRAINA and managed by the Black Sea Shipping Co (Blasco), Odessa.
Under the Soviet flag used in the Black Sea, Mediterranean and African routes.
Later mostly used for cruises in the Mediterranean.
1987 Renamed in INA, and under this name and Soviet flag she sailed to Gadani Beach, Pakistan for scrapping.
