UMGAZI.
Passenger/Cargo. Built 1940 as LANARKSHIRE for Scottish Shire Line by Greenock Dockyard Co., Greenock. 8181Gt. 3885Nt. L505'4". B64'9". Dr28'6". Six Parsons turbines, 2 screws. Sold 1959 to Bullard, King & Co. (Natal Line), London. Renamed UMGAZI. Only her bow can be seen at extreme left of stamp. Also on stamp are EUROPA and TINTAGEL CASTLE -

Refrigerated general cargo vessel.
30 November 1939 launched.
April 1940 completed.

December 1959 transferred to Springbok Line Ltd., London.
January 1960 transferred to Springbok Shipping Company Ltd., Cape Town.
August 1960 renamed in GRYSBOK.
01 July 1961 owners acquired by the South African Marine Corporation Ltd. and she was renamed in SOUTH AFRICAN FARMER.
20 January 1963 arrived at Aioi, Japan for scrapping, was scrapped by Ataka & Co. Ltd.
