Built as an inland passenger vessel under yard No 6 by Astilleros y Fabricas Navales del Estado (A.F.N.E.) at Ensenada Buenos Aires, Argentina for Flota Argentina de Nav. Fluvial in Buenos Aires.
19 December 1959 launched as the CUIDAD DE PARANA.
Tonnage 3,955 grt, 1,890 net, 720 dwt., dim. 105.50 x 17.40 x 6.0m., length bpp 99.6m.
Powered by three Crossley 2T SA 8-cyl., 4.500 hp, three shafts, speed 14 knots.
Bunker capacity 220 ton, daily consumption 20 ton
Passenger accommodation for 232 first and 200 second class.Crew 91
Cargo capacity for 43,860m³ grain, 39,474 m³ bale, 3,200 m³ reefer cargo.
19 December 1962 delivered to owners.
Used for the daily service between Buenos Aires to Montevideo.

2009 Sailed to AFNE, Rio Santiago for repair, she is still there in 2015 I believe, but looking at the photo it is doubtful she will be used again.
