AUGUST DER STARKE and GRÄFIN COSEL (Germany)

Post by D. v. Nieuwenhuijzen » Mon Sep 12, 2016 6:43 pm

Built in 1994 by Tangermünde Werft, for the Sächsische Dampfschifffahrt, Dresden.
Salon ships, L:75,10m. B:10,60m. Draft:0,82m./0,94m. 2 MAN diesels each 460 hp. (340 kW) 6-9 km/h upstream, 12-20 km/h downstream, pass:506.
Service on the river Elbe between Dresden and Decin (Czech.)

The two modern salon ships are virtually identical sister-ships. They were built with passenger comfort in mind. They feature elegantly furnished salons that provide generous panoramic views of the river scenery. The excellent onboard facilities make these ships ideal for charter events for large groups.
