On the stamp the inscription gives CARNIVAL LIBERTY, but on the bow of the ship clearly is visible the name of a sistership the CARNIVAL CONQUEST.

Built as a passenger cruise vessel under yard no 6057 by the Fincantieri Italiani yard in Montfalcone, Italy, the forepart was built by Sestri CN, Genoa- Sestri for Carnival Cruises. Doral Fl.
30 June 1999 laid down.
01 February 2002 launched as the CARNIVAL CONQUEST.
Tonnage 110,475 grt, 10,000 dwt, dim. 290.20 x 35.50 x 8.20m. (draught).
Powered diesel electric by four 16-cyl. and two 12 cyl. Sulzer-NSD diesel engines, 63360 kW. Propulsion: 2 Electric motors ABB Azipod 20.000 kW. each, maximum speed 22 knots.
Accommodation for 2974 passengers and 1100 crew.
25 October 2002 delivered to owners, managed by Carnival Corp. IMO No 9198355, homeport Panama.

12 November 2002 maiden voyage from New Orleans to Mexico
19 November 2002 christened in New Orleans by Lindy Claiborne Boggs, former US Congresswoman for Louisiana.

CARNIVAL CONQUEST is a Conquest-class cruise ship owned and operated by American/British company Carnival Cruise Line. Sixty percent of her staterooms have ocean views, and sixty percent of those (37% of all cabins) have balconies. The ship's interior decor is of a French Impressionist style designed to complement the port city of New Orleans. CARNIVAL CONQUEST was renovated in 2009.
She moved later from New Orleans to Galveston but in 2011 was back in New Orleans.
