ESSO PACIFIC tanker 1977

Built as a ULCC tanker under yard no 4485 by Hitachi Zosen, Ariake, Japan for Esso Tankers Inc., Monrovia.
20 August 1976 laid down.
13 June 1977 launched as the ESSO PACIFIC.
Tonnage 234,626 grt, 247,161 nrt, 508,628 dwt, dim. 406.6 x 71.1 x 31.22m, length bpp. 390.0m, draught 25.29m.
Powered by one steam turbine, 33570 kW, speed 15.5 knots
01 November 1977 completed. IMO No 7376537.

1983 Transferred from Liberian flag to the flag of the Bahamas and owned by Esso International Shipping Co. Ltd., Nassau Bahamas.
16 August 1986 laid up at Aalesund, Norway. (Other source gives Vestnes, Norway)
1988 Transferred to Bermuda flag and owned by Eastern Marine Ltd. Hamilton, Bermuda.
1990 Sold to Panshine Inc. (Ceres Hellenic Shipping Enterprises Inc.), Piraeus, Greece, renamed in KAPETAN MICHALIS.
25 October 2002 arrived at Gadani Beach, Pakistan for scrapping.
