MAPINDUZI II ferry

Tanzanian postal service issued a set of stamps on 18 January 2020 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Pan-African Postal Union (PAPU). One stamp the 2300 Tsh shows us the ferry MAPINDUZI II.

Built as a passenger/cargo ferry under yard no 13SV01 by the yard of Posco Plantec in South Korea for the Tanzania Government.
Launched as the MAPINDUZI II
Tonnage 5,464 grt, 866 dwt, dim. 90.0 x 17.0m.
Powered by two? twin shafts, twin rudders, speed?
Capacity for 1200 passengers, 80 small cars, or 200-ton cargo.
Fitted out with a stern ramp and a small ramp on the starboard side for palletized cargo.
September 1915 completed. Managed by the Zanzibar Shipping Corp.

She sails regularly between Unguya (Zanzibar) and Pemba Islands.
2020 In service, sane name, and owner, IMO No 9708485.
