GRAMPIAN C-CLASS STANDBY-SAFETY VESSEL

This stamp shows us one of the North Star Shipping standby-safety vessels of the C-class, which vessel of the class is depicted, I am not sure, only the name GRAMPIAN is visible on the bow, but she is one of the first of the class, the later one got a different wheelhouse. I give the details of the first built ship of this class the GRAMPIAN CONQUEROR. All the vessels of this class were built by Balenciaga.

Built as a standby-safety vessel under yard no 430 by Balenciaga in Zumaya, North Spain for North Star Shipping Aberdeen in Aberdeen, Scotland.
27 July 2005 laid down.
04 November 2005 launched as the GRAMPIAN CONQUEROR, seven sisters.
Tonnage 1.125 grt, 339 nrt, 465 dwt, dim. 48.25 x 11.8 x 7.4m. (draught loaded 5.65m,) length bpp. 40.5m.
Powered by one MAK 2,050 hp. diesel engine, one shaft, speed 12 knots. One Schottel Azimuth bow thruster of 400 bhp.
Accommodation for 15 crew.
09 February 2006 completed, homeport Aberdeen, IMO 9319234.

After completing used as standby and safety vessel in the North Sea, managed by North Star Shipping Aberdeen.
2022 Same name and owner.

St Tomé et Principe 2021 31.00 Db sg?, Scott? Although this edition was authorized by the São Tomés Postal Administration, it was not sold in São Tomé, only distributed for trade by the São Tomés philatelic agency.
