By the day of the Navy of Ukraine, July 7, 2019, the boats were given their own names "STANISLAV and MAILYN, and the ship numbers L450 and L451. At that time, the boats were completing factory tests and in the fall of 2019, they were supposed to go to state tests.
According to the available information, the boats could not be handed over to the customer due to the mismatch of characteristics regarding displacement, draft, and speed - the heavy boat cannot reach the declared speed (which was initially declared at 50 knots, then "at least 40").
Due to the disruption of state tests and delivery of boats to the Navy in the specified terms, the SBI began an investigation into the purchase of boats that do not meet technical requirements. On July 2, 2021, Valery Shandra, the chairman of the board of PJSC "Zavod "Kuznya na Rybalskyi" and former deputy minister of defense Ihor Pavlovsky, and two directors of the Department of Military-Technical Policy, Development of Armaments and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defense were notified of the suspicion and subsequently arrested by the court.
On November 9, 2021, one of the former directors of the department, Colonel Andriy Araptanov, entered into an agreement with the prosecutor to plead guilty to negligent military service and intentional failure to act in accordance with his duties during the purchase of Centaur-LK boats, which caused serious consequences.
On November 23, 2021, the court found the colonel guilty of the criminal offenses stipulated. 3 Art. 425 of the Criminal Code and Part 3 of Art. 426, and assigned him a language term.
As of December 12, 2021, boats are not included in the combat composition of the Navy.
