For the 50th Anniversary of the Cyprus Port Association, Cyprus issued one stamp which shows a tugboat of this company the OTHELLO.
Built as a tug under yard no 1000 by Beverley Shipbuilding & Engineering, Beverley, U.K. for the Cyprus Port Authority, Cyprus.
19 May 1966 launched as the OTHELLO. Named after the homonymous gate of Othello on the walls of the gate of Famagusta.
Tonnage 194 grt, dim. 32 x 8m,
One diesel engine 1300 bhp, (960 Kw), one shaft, speed ?
1966 Completed. Cyprus flag and registration, IMO no 6613433

After completing and delivery stationed in Famagusta.
1974 After the invasion of Turkish troops on Cyprus she escaped to Western Cyprus.
2023 Stationed again in Famagusta, in service, same name, and company, and under Cyprus flag.
