Built as a cargo vessel under yard No. 874 by W. Doxford & Sons, Sunderland for A. Weir & Co. Ltd. (Bank Line Ltd,) Glasgow
04 May 1966 launched under the name SHIRRABANK.
Tonnage open/closed shelterdecker 7.591/10.439 grt, 4.306/6.101 nrt., 12.948/15.878 dwt., dim. 527.10 x 69.4 x 27.9/31.6ft.
One 6-cyl Doxford diesel engine, manufactured by builder, 10.800 bhp., one screw, speed 16.5knots.
September 1966 delivered to owners.

1981 Sold to Cape Jarvis Shipping Corp., Liberia, renamed AL BASEER.
1984 Sold for breaking up to Indian shipbreakers, and arrived 20 November 1984 at Alang.
