Built as a tanker under yard No 452 by Nederlandsche Dok & Scheepsbouw Mij., Amsterdam for the N.V. Petroleum Mij “La Corona”, The Hague, Netherlands.
09 July 1955 launched as the KYLIX. All Shell tankers were named after a shell.
Tonnage 12,119 grt, 6,920 net, 18,140 dwt, dim. 169.4 x 21.2 x 9.11m (draught, length bpp.161.5m.
Powered by two Parsons steam turbines, manufactured by Werkspoor N.V., Amsterdam, 8.250 bhp, one screw, speed 14.5 knots.
24 December 1955 delivered to owners, homeport The Hague. IMO No 5198905.
1960 Transferred to Shell Tankers NV, The Hague, not renamed.
06 September 1984 arrived at San Esteban de Pravia, Spain for scrapping, she was scrapped by Desguaces Vige S.A.
