NUVEYDI FUTUH

Built on the yard of Tersane-I Amire at Istanbul for the Turkish Navy.
1840 Launched under the name NÜVEYDI FÜTUH.
Displacement 356 tons bm, dim. 26.8 x 8.5 x 3.2m. (draught).
Most probably armed with 16 guns, but sources are not clear on the armament she carried.
Brig rigged.

1840 commissioned and serviced in the Turkish Black Sea Fleet.
In 1850 did she have a crew of 150 men.
1865 laid up at Istanbul.
1873 Refitted in a training vessel for the Navy Academy in Haybeliada.
1875 Sailed to Gelibolu, and from there she made the next years voyages with cadets in the Sea of Marmara.
1896 She returned to the Haybeliada Mekteb-I Bahriye (Haybeliada Navy School.)
1901 Decommissioned and laid up at Haybeliada.
Nov. 1909 sold by the Turkish Navy for scrap, but Turkish shiplovers are sure that thereafter she was used by the merchant marine, as a coal vessel in the trade between KD-Eregli and Istanbul.
Her fate is till this time not known.
