Toucan, not Le Toucan as named on the stamp.
Sail number 54 in the race and the eighth yacht to cross the finishing line after an elapsed time of28 days 12 hours and 54 minutes. Arriving on 16th july 1972 at 00.54 b.s.t. winning the Observer trophy for the first yacht of 35ft or under to finish.
Crewed by Alain Gliksman. Toucan has a length of 34.5ft and displaces only 2 tons with a freeboard of 1ft.
He started favourite to win the trophy for the smaller yacht class.
