The ship depict on the Malagasy Republic 1992 stamp given as OSTRUST, must be the Dutch V.O.C. ship OOSTRUST built in 1721.

She is the same ship as depict on the stamp.
By checking the VOC web-site fleet list there is not an OSTRUST but there is an OOSTRUST (east rest).
She was built in 1721 on the yard of the V.O.C. in Amsterdam for the Chamber of the V.O.C. Amsterdam.
Tonnage 1,140 ton. Most probably she is depict on the stamp.

Maiden voyage under command of Skipper Gerrit Moring when she sailed from Texel road on 29 April 1722, with on board 160 crew, 158 soldiers, one craftsman and 2 passengers.
She sailed via Cape Town and arrived 03 December 1722 at Batavia, during the voyage died 13 sailors and 8 soldiers.
24 December 1723 she sailed from Batavia, with on board 150 crew, 25 soldiers, 5 craftsmen and 21 passengers, arriving 05 July 1724 at Texel, during the voyage died 12 crew.

18 October 1724 sailed from Texel under command of Skipper Laurens IJsenhart with on board 178 crew, 80 soldiers, one craftsman and 4 passengers, arrived Batavia on 24 June 1725, during the voyage 10 crew died.
20 November 1725 she sailed from Batavia under Skipper IJsenhart, arrived 04 July 1726 at Texel.

30 January 1727 she sailed from Texel under command of Skipper Thomas Fletcher with on board 153 crew, 99 soldiers, 4 craftsmen and 7 passengers, arrived Batavia 05 October 1727, during the voyage died 11 crew and 16 soldiers.
30 November 1727 she sailed from Batavia under command of Fletcher, arrived Texel 24 July 1728, with on board a cargo worth 139,759 Guilder.

19 March 1729 sailed from Texel under command of Pieter Verley with on board 158 crew, 109 soldiers, 8 craftsmen and 1 passenger. Arrived Batavia 05 October 1729, during the voyage died 10 crew, 8 soldiers, and 3 craftsmen.
01 December 1729 sailed from Batavia under command of Verley, with on board 91 crew, 22 soldiers, 3 craftsmen, 18 impotenten (invalids) and 4 passengers arrived 25 July 1730 at Texel with on board a cargo with a value of 328,031 Guilder.

21 May 1731 sailed from Texel under command of Hendrik van den Berg with on board 185 crew, 120 soldiers, 7 craftsmen and 2 passengers, arrived at Batavia on 16 January 1732.
30 December 1732 sailed from Batavia under command of Berg with on board a crew of 141 and 5 impotenten., arrived Texel 22 July 1733 with on board a cargo with a value of 243,010 Guilder.

24 August 1734 sailed from Texel under command of Lukas Hardenbroek with on board 157 crew, 114 soldiers and 10 craftsmen.
Stayed at Plymouth from 13 September till 02 November 1734, where 9 men deserted. Arrived 01 August 1735 in Batavia, during the voyage died 24 crew, 37 soldiers and 2 craftsmen.
14 October 1735 she sailed from Batavia under command of Pieter Lup with on board 108 crew, 20 soldiers, 9 craftsmen, 15 impotenten and 6 passengers.
21 July 1736 she arrived at Texel with a cargo with a value of 155,996 Guilder.

10 March 1737 sailed from Texel under command of Willem van der Tijd with on board 199 crew, 100 soldiers, 8 craftsmen and 5 passengers including a female slave. Arrived Batavia on 24 October 1737 during the voyage died 25 crew, 10 soldiers, and 2 craftsmen.
15 January 1738 sailed from Batavia under command of Huibert (or Hendrik) Tiebout, with on board 105 crew, 20 soldiers, 1 craftsman and 4 impotenten.
07 July 1738 arrived at Texel with a cargo with a value of 156,464 Guilder.

Her last voyage was under command of Willem Vroom, she sailed from Texel on17 February 1739, not a crew or persons on board given but after a call in Cape Town from 03 July 1739 till 18 July 1739 she sailed out bound for the Dutch East Indies.
18 August 1739 she got serious leakage and was forced to sail to Mosselbay, South Africa. Finally she was laid up at the Cape in 1739 and later scrapped there.

On al outward and homeward voyages she made a call at Cape Town, South Africa.
