According to E W Argyle, in Sea breezes March 1951, the craft shown on the 5-ore Danish stamp of 1931 was the Royal Yacht RITA V, a Bermudian rigged sloop of 17 tons, built by Anker and Jensen, Denmark, in 1930. Her overall length being 58.9ft.

King Christian died in 1947, and further research shows that the yacht, described as Dragon class, was sent to Canada where her owner renamed her El Margaret.

Built to International 10m Racing Class. (I am wondering with a length of 58.9ft (17.95m) of she did belong to a 10-meter class yacht?)

She is showed on the stamp when she is sailing near Marselisborg Castle, Denmark.

After he died the yacht was sold is not correct, she was lost during a fire in 1936, the yacht sold was the RITA VI.
During a race, the king himself was always on the helm.

November 1936 in Copenhagen a fire ignited through carelessness on a yacht berthed adjacent to where the Royal yacht RITA V was stored for the winter. The fire jumped from yacht to yacht and also to the buildings of the Yacht & Motorboat Shipyards where the RITA V was stored, within a few hours the fire had consumed around 100 yachts and motorboats under which the RITA V.
