ROUSSE inland cruise vessel

Built as a Danube River passenger vessel by Scheepswerf en Machinefabriek “De Biesbosch”, Dordrecht, the Netherlands for the Bulgarian Government.
She and her sister SOFIA were designed by the Dutch shipyard Rijn-Waalwerven, and she are the largest inland passengers ships ever built.
Launched as the ROUSSE.
Tonnage 1,259 grt., dim. 113.50 x 16.0 x 3.10m, draught loaded 1.65m.
Powered by two diesel engines each 1,180 bhp, twin shafts, speed 20 km/hr in shallow water, 27 km/hr in deep water.

Accommodation for 236 passengers and 79 crew.
1983 Completed.
17 October 1983 left the Netherlands under tow, loaded together with her sister on a submersible pontoon of Nedbarges Sublift to Sulina, Bulgaria.
26 April 1984 she made her maiden voyage on the Danube River.
Between 2001/2002 renovated.
2011 Still in service as a river cruise vessel, managed by Dunav Tours at Ruse, Bulgaria.
Passenger accommodation now for 201 passengers, crew 65.
Bulgaria 1988 1lev sgMS3570, scott3380a (she is given by Log Book, Watercraft Philately and Navicula as RUSE but not any inland passenger river ship under that name has sailed.)
The passengership in the MS on the lowest stamp is given as ALEKSANDUR STAMBOLIJSKI but I can not find any ship under that name.
