CHALE tug

This tug was built under yard No 4208 by J.I. Thornycroft & Co. Ltd., Woolston near Southampton for the Southampton Isle of Wight & South England Royal Mail Steam Packet Co. Ltd.
03 May 1965 launched as the CHALE.
Tonnage 254 grt., 152 net, dim. 34.17 x 9.02 x 2.97m.
Powered by two Crossley Bross, Oil 2SA 6 cyl. diesel engine, 1,500 hp, speed 12 knots.
Bollard pull 44 ton.
1990 Was the owner Tugs LTD, Southampton.
2011 Used as a harbour tug in Castries Harbour, St Lucia owned by Tugs Ltd., Castries, St Lucia.
IMO No 6513023.
2021 Same owner and name.
