Footnote: Named after the inventor of the Pendulum Clock which was the forerunner of the ships Chronometer. He lived 1629-95. His time piece appears on SG923 issued by Netherlands in 1962.

'31 Gt:15,704, '37 Gt:16,286, '40 Troop transport, managed by Orient Line, 26-08-'45 during a voyage Antwerp - Rotterdam she struck a mine near Westkapelle and had to be beached, badley damaged, on Zuid Steenbank, 1 dead. On September 5 the ship broke in two.
