SENDJE CEIBA FPSO tanker

Built as a supper tanker under yard No S25 by L’Atlantique (Penhoet-Loire) St Nazaire, France for Esso Tankers Inc., Liberia.
20 January 1975 launched as the ESSO AFRICA.
Tonnage 123,040 grt, 274,487 dwt, dim. 348.7 x 51.87 x 27.35m.. length bpp 330.7m, draught 21.37m
Powered by a Stal Laval steam engine, manufactured by Wärtsila, 28.500 bhp., one shaft, speed 15.5 knots.
April 1975 completed.

1994 Renamed in AFRICA by Esso International Shipping, Bahamas.
1996 Sold to Bergensen D.Y. Asia (Oslo Norway), Bahamas and renamed BERGE HUS.
2001 Was she converted into a FPSO at Jurong Shipyard, Singapore, owned by Ceiba Offshore AS and renamed in SENDJE CEIBA.
Tonnage 133.969 grt, 104,021 net, 274,473 dwt.
She has now a production capacity of 160,000 barrels of liquids per day. The storage capacity is 2 million barrels of oil. The design life is 15 years with ten years on the field without dry docking.
She is now located offshore in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa
2020 In service, same name, IMO No 7360069, owned by Hess Equatorial Guinea Inc. New York.
Under Bahamas flag and register.
