TRIDENT V ferry

Built as a passenger catamaran under yard No 36 by Westermoen Hydrofoil A/S, Mandal, Norway for Det Stavangerske D/S, Norway.
Tonnage 252 grt, 150 nrt, dim. 29.13 x 9.02 x 1.2m. (draught).
Powered by two 12-cyl. SACM, 3,600 bhp, twin screws, speed 28 knots.
Bunker consumption 530 litre an hour.
Two saloons, passengers 180
1974 Delivered under the name VINGTOR. She is one of the W95 Westmaran type.

Used in the “flagruten” by the company between Stavanger and Bergen.
1986 Refitted and chartered by the French oil company ELF for the transport of personnel between shore and oilrigs at Douala, Cameroon.
1990 Sold to Emeraude Lines S.A. for a stated 9 million French Frank, renamed TRIDENTV.
14 April 1990 she arrived for the first time in Jersey from Saint Malo where she replaced the TRINDENT IV on that route, and that alternated with TRIDENT III on the outward service to Guernsey.
8 September 1995 out of service and went for two years to the Caribbean.
25 June 1998 returned to Channel Island service till June 1999.
1999 Renamed in PEGASUS and the same year renamed in NORMANDIE EXPRESS.
The same year chartered by Air France for a summer service between Saint Tropez, Cannes and Nice Airport.
2000 Renamed again in TRIDENT V.
2002 Sold to Mediterranea Pitiusa, Saint Francesc, Balearic Isles and renamed AIGÜES DE FORMENTERA.
Used in the service between Ibiza and Formentera.
23 June 2011 on request of owners taken out of class.

Tonnage given as 216 grt. Port of registry Las Palmas.
April 2012 broken up.
