RIO APA

Stanley Gibbons, Collect Ships on Stamps gives her name as RIO APA, have not a photo of her but the photo on the site of Histarmar she looks in her later days more like a towage barge, with an open hold and carrying containers. Most probably later converted.
Built as a cargo vessel under yard No 67 by Tomas Ruiz de Velasco, Bilbao, Spain for Flota Mercante del Estado (FLOMERES), Asuncion, Paraguay.
25 June 1960 launched as the RIO APA.
Tonnage 1,087 grt, 1.023 dwt, dim. 73.8 x 12.0m. length bpp. 12.00m
Powered by 1 diesel engine, ?hp, speed10 knots.
October 1961 delivered to owners.
200? Abandoned at Chaco-I, Paraguay.
Equasis gives her in service. IMO No 5295569
