Built as a tanker under yard No 1662 by Samsung Heavy Industries, Koje, South Korea for Lorama Shipping Co. Ltd., Neapolis, Cyprus.
15 January 2008 steel cutting date.
30 June 2008first section placed.
30 August 2008 launched as the TIMOFEY GUZHENKO named after the USSR Minister of Merchant Marine, Timofey Guzhenko (1918-2008). Two sisters the VASILY DINKOV and KAPITAN GOTSKY.
Tonnage 49,597 grt, 21,075 nrt, 71,266 dwt. Dim. 257.29 x 34.06 x 21m., length bpp. 234.7m, draught 14m.
Powered: Diesel electric by two Wärtsilä 16V38B diesel engines, 11,600 kW , one Wärtsilä 6l38B diesel engine, 4,350 kW, two ABB Azipod units each 10,000 mW, service speed 16 knots in open water.
Bunker capacity 3,798 cubic meter.
12 Cargo tanks, 86,368 cubic meters.
She is fitted out with a dynamic positioning system for use in ice.
One helicopter pad.
Ice strengthened A1
24 February 2009 delivered. Russian flag and registry. Homeport St Petersburg, Russia.

After delivery managed by Unicom Management Serv-Rus (Sovcomflot) St Petersburg.
The TIMOFEY GUZHENKO was the third and last of her class built for the shuttle-service of crude oil between the Varandey oil terminal situated above the Polar circle to Murmansk and north Europe. She is fitted out with a system of sensors and measuring devices to make it possible to operate the ship in temperatures of minus 40ºC and breaking up ice to 1.5 meter.
