The postal mark on postcard shows us the Russian stern trawler PERSEY.
Built as a factory trawler of the Atlantik 333 type under yard 617 by Volkswerft VEB, Stralsund, East Germany for the Russian Government.
Launched as the OCHER.
Tonnage 1,905 grt, 571 nrt, 798 dwt. Dim. 62.25 x 13.82 x 9.20m., length bpp. 55.00m, draught 5.37m.
Powered by two Wärtsilä 6L 20 diesel engines each 1,080 hp, one shaft, controllable pitch propeller, speed 12.5 knots.
Bunker capacity 355 tons.
Two holds of which one is insulated. Can produce 30 tons of frozen fish in 24 hours.
20 October 1983 delivered to owners, homeport Murmansk.
1999 Her name was changed in PERSEY.
2013 Still fishing owned by “Vega”, Joint-Stock Scientific-Industrial Enterprise, IMO No 8326204 Homeport Murmansk, Russia.
