HMS Chichester (F59) was a Salisbury-class or Type 61 class aircraft direction (or radar picket) frigate of the British Royal Navy.

Ordered in 28 June 1951, Builder The Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company. Laid down in 26 June 1953, launched in 21 April 1955 and commissioned in 16 May 1958. Displacement 2170 tons standard and 2400 tons full load. Lenght 100 m, Beam 12 m, Draught 4,72 m, 8 x ASR1 diesels, 12,400 shp, 2 shafts. Speed 24 kts. Range 7,500 Nm at 16 kts. Complement 235.

Armament: 1 × twin 4.5 in gun Mark 6 1 × twin 40 mm Bofors gun STAAG Mark 2, later 1 × twin 40 mm Bofors gun Mk.5 1 × Squid A/S mortar.

Towards the end of her career in 1973 she was partially disarmed for use as a Hong Kong guard ship and "showing the flag" deployments, due in part to her good range conferred by her diesel machinery.

Sold for breaking 17 March 1981.
