FLANDRIA II. Passenger. Built in 1932 by Moerdykswelvarten, Holland for Flandria Services Interprovinciauz de Bateaux. 122Gt. L37m. B6.8m. Dr1.65m. Second largest vessel in the fleet. She was taken over by the Germans In 1940 and mounted with guns. She is now used for trips from Antwerp to Holland and North Sea. Vessels left to right are FLANDRIA III engaged in water supply in docks, sister to FLANDRIA XII carrying 125 tourists around Antwerp Harbour, FLANDRIA II. Built as a ferry by E&M De Korte Moerdijkswelvaren yard in Dordrecht, Netherlands for Eugene Van Marcke. Van Marcke was the founder of the Flandria shipping company.
Launched as FLANDRIA 2.
Tonnage 164 gross, dim. 36.30 x 6,8 x 1.35m. (draught)
Completed 1930.
08 September 1932 sold to Provinciale Stoombootdienst Flandria N.V.
She was the second largest vessel in the fleet, used as a ferry and harbour cruise vessel on the River Scheldt and the harbour of Antwerp.
1940 Taken over by the German Navy and converted in an anti-aircraft ship mounted with 7 AA guns. Used by the German Navy for patrol duty in the harbour of Antwerp and the River Scheldt.
1945 Found back in the Hamburg port in a neglected state.
October 1950 rebuilt, refitted and motorized by Chantiers Navals de Rupelmonde, Belgium.
Dim. 35.50 x 6.50 1.96m.
Then used for tourist trips from Antwerp to Holland and the North Sea.
1952 Chartered by the International Red Cross and renamed HENRY DUNANT 1.
1967 Refitted again in Rupelmonde and fitted out with a 12-cul. GM 12V71 diesel engine, 340 hp.
1980 New engines fitted in of 340 shp, and in 1994 again of 250 hp.
January 1996 the company became a holding company.
1998 Managed by Antwerp Dredging N.V., Antwerp.
August 2000 renamed in ANTVERPIA 2 sailed for Rederij Antverpia/De Hertog.
2011 Was she bought by Peter Brand in Lanaken, Belgium and fitted out as a party boat and renamed in ZAMBEZI.
2015 In service IMO No 7736309.
She is the vessel shown in the foreground, to the right of other ships of that company, alongside the quay on the Scheldt River near the Steen Castle, Antwerp, the castle is also visible on the stamp.

FLANDRIA III, built by N.V. Van Garsse in Moerbeke-Waas, Belgium as a fresh water tanker for supplying the vessels in the harbour of Antwerp with fresh water.
Dim. 20.00 x 5.05 x 1.17m.
Powered by GM diesels, 165 hp.
1984 Rebuilt in a passenger boat for sightseeing’s tours.
04 February 1991 sold to Aquabus SPRL, Liege, Belgium and renamed EUREGIO.
2015 Can’t find any trace of her.

FLANDRIA XII: Built as a ferry in 1947 by N.V. Van Garsse in Moerbeke-Waas, Belgium.
Launched as FLANDRIA XII.
Tonnage 60.4 grt, dim. 20.0 x 5.0 x 2.69m. (draught)
Powered by GM diesels, 165 hp.
Used in the service from Steen/Noordkasteel to St Anna Plage.
1972 Rebuilt in a fresh water tanker, could carry 75 ton fresh water. Supplied ships in the harbour of Antwerp with fresh water.
January 1996 owned by Maatschappij Rederij, Antwerp.
2015 Same name and owner and used as a water tanker.in Antwerp.
On the stamp she is seen between the two other ships.
