Tanker built 1959 by S S Kyogo, Japan. Owner Kuwait Tanker Co., Arabian Gulf 29155Gt. L735'. BI00'. Dr31'. 1 screw, two sets steam turbines, 18,000 shp, Speed 16 knot. Went aground on north-west corner of Robben Is. 1970, refloated by German tug ATLANTIC and several harbour tugs including the T S MCEWAN.

Builders Sasebo Sempaku Kogyo Heavy Industries, Sasebo.
24 November 1970 grounded Robben Island after an engine failure. Heavily damaged, towed back to builders for repairs.
1979 broken up by Sing Cheng Yung Iron & Steel Co., Kaohsiung.
