FAGEL GRIP. Circa 1637. One of the first Swedish ships to cross the Atlantic. Very little is known about her.
In November 1637 an expedition with the two ships KALMAR NYCKEL and FAGEL GRIP sailed from Gothenburg to found a Swedish colony on the' Delaware River, known as South River, North America. The ships reached the mouth of the Delaware River in March 1638. The smaller ship is FAGEL GRIP the larger vessel is KALMAR NICKYL - Sweden 1938. 150. 200. SG204-5. 1966. 150. SG518. USA 1988. 44c.
