The Le MALIN as given on the stamp is built as a longliner under yard No B301/1 by Stocznia Polnocna, Gdansk for Glacia Shiping S.A. Panama.
21 December 1995 keel laid down.
28 June 1996 launched as the CAROLINE GLACIAL. 11 sisters.
Tonnage 1,146 grt, 620 dwt, dim. 50 x 10.7 x 4.8m, length between pp 43.60 m.
Powered by 1 Caterpillar diesel engine, 3,806 kW, one shaft, speed 13 knots. One bow thruster.
Ice strengthened.
15 January 1997 completed under yard No b12 by West Contractors, Ølensväg, Norway.

Early 1998 sold or transferred to Glacial Shipping S.A., Kingstown, Saint Vincent & The Grenadines.
February 1998 was reported that she was discharging toothfish in Mauritius.
End 1998 sold or transferred to Glacial Shipping S.A., Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Russia.
2000 Sold to Ervik Marine Services, Petropavlovsk, Kamchatskiy, Russia.
2001 Sold to Kongshavn Shipping, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Russia
Early 2003 sold to Long Liners S.A., Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy and renamed CAROLINE H
End 2003 renamed in AMERICA No1 and registered in the USA. And she was modified and major maintenance took place on a shipyard in Vigo, Spain.
2004 Sold to Staplefield Investment, Honduras and renamed APACHE.
17 June 2004 she was caught fishing illegally by the French patrol vessel ALBATROS in the waters off Heard and McDonalds Islands, but the APACHE sighted her and she tried to escape by heading a northerly course reaching the waters around Kerguelen, but bad weather and rough seas made it impossible to intercept the APACHE.
When the APACHE on the 23rd did not stop when ordered for boarding, warning shots were fired, where after the APACHE stopped and a boarding party from the ALBATROS boarded the ship.
In the hold was found about 50 tons illegally caught toothfish, and the APACHE was arrested at that time she had a crew of 40 men on board.
Escorted by the ALBATROS the APACHE headed to La Reunion where she arrived on 1 July.
After a court hearing and after a long legal battle was she confiscated by the French State on 23 June 2005.
07 September 2005 the French Navy became the owner of the ship.

04 November 2005 was she renamed in Le MALIN (A615).
13 March 2006 she arrived at Toulon her home port.
She was armed with 2 – 12.7mm machine guns.
Crew 16, she has accommodation for 42 persons.
Used as a Support Vessel..
03 November 2011 in use as a Public Patrol Service vessel, and from November 2011as a Patrol ship.
2014 In service.
