St Pierre et Miquelon issued in 2012 two stamps which shows maritime paintings of which the 0.60 Euro shows us the stern trawler BEOTHUK.
She was built as a steel hulled trawler under yard No 3401 by Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie (CMN), Cherbourg for ITM Entreprises (Scapeche), the web-site of the company says built in 1985, while Bureau Veritas give that she was built in 1987.
Launched as the EUREKA.
Tonnage 232.94 grt, dim. 34.54 x 7.9 x 4.25m., length bpp. 29.76, draught 3.79m.
One MWM diesel engine, 900 hp (662 kW), one controllable pitch propeller, speed 12.4 knots.
Fuel capacity 60 m³.
28 April 1987 completed. Imo No 8514588 Homeport Concarneau.

2005 Sold to Saint Pierre et Miquelon and renamed in 2009 in BEOTHUK, homeport St Pierre.
Her owner given as French Shore SAS.
