Maldonado ROU (PaddleWheeled Gunboat/Survey Ship) 1886

She was built in Elberg, Germany in 1886. Displacement; 400 tons. Diamensions; 53,45m x 6,17m x 3,50m. Steel hull. 2 oscillating engines double exp. 2 boilers 600 hp. Speed 10 Knots (later 14 knots), 40 tons of coal capacity. Crew; 35. 4 small Q.F. and 2 M.G.
Ex German paddle yatch Anita. Bought by Uruguay in 1908 and renamed as Maldonado. Used as a paddle Wheel gunboat, later renamed as Baron de Rio Branco and converted to a survey ship.
Deleted from the list in 1931 and given to Nautic Club Pocitos.
