Norden III, Ships
On 17th March 2014 POST Greenland issued the third and last part of the joint Nordic series “North by the Sea”, which began in 2010. The stamps will be issued in whole sheets and souvenir sheets. Additionally all the souvenir sheets from the Nordic countries will be issued in a joint souvenir folder.

POST Greenland’s contribution to this year’s joint issue consists of two stamps with designs by Miki Jacobsen. He has been inspired by our unique, harsh and vast country and the absence of roads connecting the towns and settlements. It means that a visit by a cargo ship from Royal Arctic Line or a passenger ship from Arctic Umiaq Line never goes unnoticed. Norden stamps, this year created by artist Miki Jacobsen, reflect not only the joy but also the curiosity of a ship’s arrival in the cold Arctic winter.
