Built as a passenger ferry under yard No 558 by Flender Werft AG, Lübeck, Germany for Lübeck-Line AG, Lübeck.
14 December 1965 launched as the REGINA MARIS
Tonnage 5,813 grt, 1,779 nrt, 1,243 dwt, dim. 118.01 x 16.02 x 5.09m.
Powered by two 10-cyl. MAN diesel engines, 8,050 hp, twin shafts, speed 20 knots.
Accommodation for 276, crew 120.
12 May 1966 delivered to owners.
At that time she was the largest passenger liner built in Germany after the war, and intended for cruising.
01 June 1966 maiden cruise from Germany to Portugal and Spain.
1976 Sold to Mosswood Co. Ltd, Bermuda, renamed MERCATOR ONE
November 1977 sold to Mercator Enterprises Ltd. (Mercator Shipping, Halifax), Bahamas.
19 May 1977 arrested in Nassau.
28 February 1978 laid up at Shelbourne, Nova Scotia. Canada.
19 October 1979 sold to Peter Deilmann, Neustadt, Germany and refitted and modernized the same year by Werft Nobiskrug, Rendsburg, renamed FRANKFURT I.
30 April 1980 renamed in REGINA MARIS and used in Baltic Sea cruises from Germany.
28 October 1983 sold to Madere Ltd., Jersey, renamed ALEXANDER and registered in Bermuda.
07 August 1985 arrived by the Lloyd Werft, Bremerhaven and converted in a luxury yacht. He owners were then given as Latcore Shipping & Trading Co., London (Greek Latis family).
Passenger accommodation for 80 passengers in 39 cabins, crew 50.
After completing used first as a private yacht later used in the charter market.
1998 Underwent a refit.
2015 She is for sale, asking price 35,000,000 million Euro, owned by Madere Ltd., Athens, Greece, under Malta flag and registry and laid up. Imo No. 6603012.
