This time the common theme Euromed is boats of the Mediterranean, but within the framework of the theme agreed, each postal operator is free to design their own stamps. Slovenia's stamp features a wooden fishing boat, powered by oars, of the kind used to catch tuna.

The inscription on the stamp gives “tonera” which means a tuna catching fishing boat, a larger image gives that she is the VARUA 1212 of which I have not any details. Mostly the Bluefin tuna’s are caught in the Adriatic in the waters off Slovenia.
